Module 3 Assignment Thinking With Data

Intro to Observable Colab

I thought that the Observable assignment was relatively easy, becayse the page was laid out in a clean, easy to follow fashion, and the progression made more sense to me for whatever reason.

Observable was fun to mess around with, and Javascript seemed less complicated than Python, for me anyway.

The Colab assignment, on the other hand, was much more difficult to navigate. The condensed layout of the page, as well as the more complicated nature of Python combined to make it a trickier task. I think also that in general more language was required for Python tasks confused me just because it seemed more involved.

In order to overcome obstacles, if I was unsure if I had entered the correct formula I would check a classmate’s post, and then circle back to see if I could figure out how they arrived there, which was super helpful for the Colab assignment.

I think your Observable post is not published–make sure you hit the blue button at the top and then come back here to edit your link.

We’re going to have a lot of Python in module 4, so make good use of those collaboration skills. We’ll have optional Observable assignments in Modules 5 and 7, which are optional because javascript can get . . . a bit more complicated than what we did this week 🙂
